• Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Co-Ed Swimming, & Cheerleading) Location: Southmont Junior High School School Corporation: South Montgomery Community School Corporation Season: Winter Sports Seasons: October 2026
• March 2027 (depending on the sport) Position Overview Southmont Athletics is seeking motivated & student-centered Winter Coaches to lead and develop student-athletes in a positive and competitive environment. Responsibilities

• varies based on coaching level Plan and conduct daily practices Teach sport-specific fundamentals and strategies Promote teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship Supervise student-athletes during practices and competitions Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff Ensure compliance with school and athletic department policies Maintain equipment and facilities Qualifications Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred Knowledge of junior high athletic development Strong leadership and communication skills Must meet school corporation employment requirements (including a background check) Preferred Qualities Positive role model for students Ability to build relationships with middle school athletes Commitment to academic and athletic excellence
