DSP: Day Program Aide (Mon-Fri 1st shift)

Program Specialist Direct Support Professional A Great Opportunity / $17.50 per Hour / Full-Time, M-F 1st Shift At Via. Quest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to): No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed What Via.
