Substitute Custodian

Job Description / Essential Elements Under general supervision, cleans classrooms, restrooms, offices, and related facilities; sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums and washes rugs and carpets; dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork; empties and cleans waste receptacles; refills soap, towel and tissue dispensers; washes windows, walls, tables and benches; operates and adjusts heating and ventilating equipment; assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment, and setting up buildings and rooms for meetings or special events; makes minor non-technical repairs; unlocks and locks doors and gates; performs special custodial work upon request, assists in the thorough cleaning and restoration.

Also, cleans outside facilities, including walkways, buildings, etc. May be involved in playground supervision. Performs other related duties as required.
