Notary – Welcome to Newly Sworn-in Professionals

Rive-Sud de Montréal, Québec, CAPosted Oct 16, 2026

Job description

Notary – Welcome to Newly Sworn-in Professionals What if you could practice notarial law differently? A well-established notarial firm on Montreal’s South Shore is offering a rare opportunity to grow within an environment where quality of practice, collegiality, and work-life balance truly come first. We are seeking a notary, member in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec, who is looking to be part of a modern, collaborative, and genuinely people-centered practice.

From day one, you will join a team of about half a dozen experienced notaries, supported by a strong infrastructure that includes administrative staff and a dedicated accountant responsible for trust accounts. The result: you are free to focus on what matters most — your legal expertise, your clients, and the quality of your files.

The model is simple: an equitable distribution of files, a true team spirit, and a high level of trust placed in professionals to manage their work with diligence and autonomy. You are not competing with your colleagues — you are working alongside them. The firm takes a long-term view. Depending on your ambitions, growth opportunities can be explored within an open and transparent framework.

What truly sets this opportunity apart, however, is the quality of life it offers. The schedule is stable and predictable, with Fridays often ending at noon year-round. Flexibility is genuine and designed to accommodate individual realities. This position is ideal for a general practice notary (all levels of experience will be considered) who is looking for more than just a job: a respectful, healthy environment where it is possible to build a sustainable practice while maintaining a true work-life balance.
