Job Title: IT Support Specialist Location: Kissimmee, FL FLSA Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt Only candidates that meet the below qualifications will be considered Job Responsibilities Solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and software applications, along with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues at lodging, retail, and food & beverage locations. Respond to service requests promptly, both in person and remotely, to minimize downtime and disruptions. Perform onsite installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, peripherals, POS systems, and network devices. Collaborate with remote teams and individuals to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively. Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure seamless communication between onsite and remote locations. Work closely with network administrators to implement and enforce network security measures. Provide support for business software applications, including Point of Sale (POS) systems, property management systems, and other industry-specific software. Assist end-users with software installations, updates, and configurations. Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to help employees understand and effectively utilize software applications. Manage hardware inventory, including computers, tablets, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Coordinate repairs and warranty services for faulty or damaged hardware. Assist with hardware procurement, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and budgetary guidelines Maintain accurate records of all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Prepare regular reports on support activities, including key metrics and trends. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to lodging, retail, and food & beverage sectors. Evaluate new hardware and software solutions, providing recommendations to improve operational efficiency and user experience. Collaborate with IT teams to plan and implement technology upgrades and projects. Attend all required meetings and trainings. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs. Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards.

Qualifications

Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Will be required to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) IT experience of at least 3 years is required. Hospitality experience is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft software programs. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions during shift such as bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, etc. Ability to travel to various locations to provide hands-on support and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Experience with network infrastructure setup, troubleshooting, and security. Advanced background in general Microcomputer hardware, software and networking, installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with POS systems, property management systems, and industry-specific software is highly desirable. Comfortable to perform the essential functions of the role in various types of Florida weather conditions including: sunshine, heat, and rain.

Comfortable to complete repetitive motions, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday while performing IT support duties.

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull computer equipment, monitors, printers, and other IT-related hardware weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces, including under desks, behind equipment, and within network or server closets. Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access, install, or troubleshoot equipment and cabling.

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary to install, connect, repair, and maintain computer hardware, cables, and peripheral devices. Ability to operate computers, keyboards, mobile devices, and diagnostic tools for extended periods. Ability to visually inspect equipment, read technical documentation, identify cable connections, and interpret information displayed on computer screens.

Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication systems. Ability to move throughout the resort property, including guest rooms, offices, restaurants, meeting spaces, and other operational areas, to provide technical support. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor areas, equipment rooms, and locations with elevated temperatures or limited ventilation.
