North High School Assistant Wrestling Coach - 26-27 School Year

Position: Assistant Wrestling Coach Location: North High School

• North St. Paul, MN Season: November 2026-March 2027 Compensation: Per the teacher labor agreement contract Work Year: 2026-2027 School Year Position Overview: North High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Wrestling Coach to assist the head coach in leading our program with an education-based and transformational coaching philosophy. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes growth, sportsmanship, and excellence both on and off the mat. Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assist in organizing and overseeing the Wrestling program, including practices, matches/meets, and team-building activities
2. Promote a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all student-athletes
3. Communicate effectively with players, parents/guardians, and coaching staff
4. Model integrity, accountability, and professionalism consistent with the mission and values of North High School Required Qualifications:
5. Experience in wrestling , either as a competitive player or coach
6. Demonstrated experience working with high school-aged students
7. Availability for after-school practices, weekday matches/meets, and occasional Saturday events
8. Knowledge of MSHSL policies, wrestling strategy, skill development, and training techniques
9. Strong leadership, organizational skills, interpersonal, and communication skills
10. Understands education-based athletics Preferred Qualifications:
11. Previous high school coaching experience
12.
