The Position Job Title Mortgage AI Solutions Specialist Job Description The AI Solutions Specialist helps Mortgage apply AI and automation to everyday processes, reports within Mortgage, and aligns with the AI Program Office.

The specialist is self-directed within an established framework: Mortgage leadership sets business priorities and desired outcomes, and the AI Program Office provides technical standards and governance guidance. Within agreed scope, approved tools, permissions, and risk limits, the specialist identifies opportunities, recommends an approach, plans and executes the work, and owns delivery through adoption and measured results.

Design review and technical support are available as needed. The role works with the executive leadership, governance committees, sales and operations teams, back-office functions, Community Bank, and the existing mortgage process design effort, building practical experience in responsible AI delivery. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Research & Capability Evaluation Learn how the assigned line of business performs its core processes and identify where AI and automation can improve them.

Independently investigate Mortgage processes and constraints; identify, and recommend the simplest suitable process improvement, conventional automation, or AI, simplifying work before automating and preserving bank controls. Research enterprise platforms, vendor products, and emerging tools, including embedded features, add-ons, licensing models, and roadmaps.

Plan and execute scoped proofs of concept and pilots using representative workflows and permitted data. Document findings, limitations, and recommendations in a clear, decision-ready format. Process Analysis & Solution Design Work directly with business users to understand process constraints and map current-state processes, decision points, handoffs, and data flows.

Translate agreed Mortgage priorities and user needs into scoped solution designs, delivery and configuration plans, and process changes that follow AI Program Office standards and required design reviews. Define future-state workflows and acceptance criteria, including exceptions, human approvals, fallback procedures, escalation, and control requirements.

Solution Build & Deployment Own the delivery approach and plan, configure, build, and deploy scoped AI and automation solutions on approved platforms and low-code tools. Seek coaching and technical support from Mortgage leadership, the AI Program Office, and IT for complex or unfamiliar work, and complete required design reviews and approvals.

Develop prompts, agents, workflows, and integrations that meet defined requirements and respect source-system and user permissions. Perform functional testing, including representative exceptions and failures; support user acceptance testing against agreed criteria and resolve defects through go-live. Communicate progress, resolve routine delivery issues, and escalate risks, dependencies, and decisions outside the agreed scope or authority.

Partner with IT, data, security, and vendor teams on integration, access, and environment needs. Documentation, Governance & Support Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, test evidence, and runbooks for every solution delivered. Complete enterprise AI governance documentation and required Risk, Compliance, and Information Security reviews before sensitive-data use, new integrations, or production deployment.

Involve Risk before solutions influence customer decisions. Monitor deployed solutions for performance, accuracy, drift, and user-reported issues, and implement corrections. Enablement & Continuous Improvement Provide user training, office hours, and enablement materials that help teams adopt new solutions. Capture reusable patterns, prompts, components, and templates to speed future delivery.

Measure baseline and post-delivery effort, quality, adoption, and cost as relevant. Use results and feedback to recommend improvements, scaling, or retirement with Mortgage leadership and the AI Program Office. EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in an operational, analytical, or process-focused role. Knowledge and Skills Requirements Experience configuring or building on enterprise software, low-code, or workflow automation tools, with evidence of scoped solution delivery through professional work or substantial personal projects, and the ability to learn new tools quickly. Ability to research business processes and supporting technology and explain findings in plain business language. Process mapping, requirements gathering, and testing skills. Ability to work without close day-to-day direction, turn an agreed business outcome into a practical plan, make sound decisions within defined boundaries, and recognize when review or escalation is required. Working knowledge of generative AI concepts, including prompting, retrieval, agents, and model limitations. Genuine interest in AI, safe experimentation, and sharing findings; willingness to learn Mortgage through time spent with the team in daily operations. Preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Platform, or comparable enterprise AI tools.
  • Exposure to mortgage origination, processing, closing, servicing, or related data. Professional or substantial personal solution-building experience is welcome; share only sanitized work samples, never confidential information. PLEASE NOTE This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
