Food Service Worker Elementary Lunch Server Jenison & Hudsonville Public Schools Food Service Summary: Hours: 5 hours/day from approximately 9:00am � 2:00pm, following the Jenison or Hudsonville Schools calendar. The person(s) accepting this position will be working at an elementary school and will be the primary server for the lunch program at this school with a variety of responsibilities.
Hourly Rate - $17.00/hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals. Set up, maintain, and clean up for lunch service on a daily basis. Place food and product orders based on menu and customer demand. Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies.
Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations Cash handling Other duties as assigned by supervisor Understand and determine qualified meals and qualified components of meals. Meet and service the needs of clientele in a timely fashion and in a pleasant and appropriate manner.
Compile and maintain appropriate records and forms for service and storage of food and product. Great attendance, arriving to work on time and in proper uniform. Desired Skills: Enjoys working with students. Work in a team environment. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Work in a fast-paced environment. Meet strict deadlines.
Handle multiple tasks at a time. Comfortable working with numbers and basic math formulas. Technology proficient - computers, email, internet, point-of-sales cash register. Flexible in many different situations. Enjoy working with other people and being part of a team.
