Lifesteps is immediately hiring a full-time Maternal Health Supervisor to oversee the in-home support program for mothers and babies.

Position Summary

The Maternal Health Supervisor oversees the Maternal Health Services program designed to mentor and nurture expectant and new moms. The Maternal Health Supervisor works with Managed Care Organizations (MCO's) to establish enrollment and provide in home supports. The supervisor assigns caseloads to staff and leads the team to achieve set goals.

In addition, the mother and child welfare Supervisor will conduct home based well-baby appointments; assess infant and women care and home supports; monitor infant and pediatric developmental stages; and offer guidance, education and referrals to parents, as appropriate, to achieve positive support outcomes through home visiting.

The Maternal Health Supervisor position will travel to several surrounding counties to spend time training staff and assisting with caseloads. Mileage reimbursement is available. The Maternal Health Supervisor also completes documentation and reports related to the maternal health program for the MCO's and agency directors.

This position works Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm . No Weekends. No Holidays.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Human Services, Social Work, Early Childhood Education (or a related field such as Family Relations, Sociology, Women's Studies, etc) AND two (2) years experience working in a Human Services profession Demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children’s progress.

Knowledge in infant/toddler development/education/health/nutrition/safety as well as family dynamics and adult learning principles. Must be 21 years of age Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks or Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Current driver’s license and use of personal vehicle with the ability to travel for business Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred : 1 year experience or case management experience in Early Education, Early Childhood Development, Children Services, Social Work, Women's Health, Case Management, Wellness Educator, Community Health Advocate, Drug or Alcohol Counseling, or related field 1 year of Supervisor experience is preferred Bilingual
