Job description

Norseman Services is hiring a cleared ServiceNow Security & Risk Architect to support a new engagement with an Intelligence Community customer. This role sits at the intersection of security operations, risk and compliance, and the emerging discipline of AI governance on the ServiceNow platform. The Security & Risk Architect will lead design across Security Operations, Integrated Risk Management, and AI governance through ServiceNow AI Control Tower, making the architecture decisions that keep the work secure, auditable, and supportable.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A strong architect in this role earns trust quickly with security and mission stakeholders, connects SecOps, IRM, and AI governance into one coherent risk picture, and leaves behind a platform that holds up to audit and accreditation scrutiny.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Connect SecOps, IRM, and AI governance through a shared data model aligned to CMDB/CSDM.
  • Define integration patterns with security tooling, including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, threat intelligence, and identity systems, that meet classified-environment constraints.
  • Own configure-vs-customize decisions and document the rationale in a form that stands up to security review and accreditation.
  • Run design workshops and architecture reviews with security, risk, and mission stakeholders, translating requirements into platform behavior.
  • Guide and review the work of developers and analysts on the engagement and serve as the escalation point for complex design decisions. MUST HAVE
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph. Candidates without a current Full Scope Polygraph cannot be considered.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in the Washington, DC metro area.
  • U.S. citizenship. - 5+ years of ServiceNow experience, including hands-on architecture or lead design work.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow AI Control Tower or comparable AI governance and risk capabilities on the platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to make and defend architectural trade-offs in front of senior government stakeholders.

  • ServiceNow CTA or ArchX certification.
  • Prior Intelligence Community or DoD ServiceNow delivery experience.
