Overview

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations while providing meaningful financial insight to leadership. This role is ideal for a professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to analyze financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

As Accounting Manager, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to help drive operational efficiency and financial clarity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Strategic Insight Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis including variance and trend analysis Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Evaluate operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership Partner with department leaders to assess financial performance and resource allocation Financial Reporting Prepare and oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain and improve internal reporting tools and dashboards Develop executive-level financial presentations and reports Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards Accounting Operations Oversee general ledger activities and month-end close processes Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience CPA preferred but not required Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders Experience mentoring or leading accounting team members is a plus What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out Supportive and collaborative work culture Brand-new, modern office environment Competitive salary and bonus structure Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Direct exposure to leadership and strategic financial initiatives Compensation & Details Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually Bonus: 10% performance bonus Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) Work Model: On-site Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana Relocation: Not available Sponsorship: Not available If you’re an experienced accounting professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with strategic financial thinking, we’d love to hear from you.
