POSITION: Hotel Maintenance Person REPORTS TO: Chief Engineer / General Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent; proven experience in general maintenance or a related field (hospitality environment preferred); basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Flexible availability required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to respond to ongoing maintenance needs and emergency calls SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE The Hotel Maintenance Person plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel’s physical infrastructure.

This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troublesho oting equipment issues, and executing timely repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff. The Hotel Maintenance Person collaborates closely with cross-functional hotel departments to prioritize work orders, proactively identify potential maintenance issues, and support overall operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Facility Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and commercial appliances; respond promptly to work orders and guest requests. Building Upkeep: Repair and maintain structural elements including doors, windows, walls, drywall, locks, and flooring to uphold physical safety and appearance standards.

Inventory & Tools Management: Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance tools, supplies, and spare parts; ensure all equipment is kept in safe working condition. Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Assist in overseeing external contractors and vendors during specialized repairs or large-scale property projects. Documentation & Safety Compliance: Accurately log completed work orders, report significant maintenance trends or hazards to leadership, and strictly adhere to OSHA and property safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

& SKILLS Preferred Certifications & Background: Technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades; prior experience in a hotel setting using digital work order systems. Technical Aptitude: Safe and effective operation of hand and power tools; strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
