Speech Language Pathologist- Per Diem Evaluator

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations across a range of ages, presentations, and communication modalities
• Recommend treatment goals grounded in each child's actual communication profile, not a one-size-fits-all framework
• Write evaluation reports that are clear, honest, and free of jargon that families can't use
• Hand off completed evaluations to the practice manager for clinician assignment, with the clarity needed for a smooth transition into care
• Communicate directly and warmly with families — including multilingual and bicultural households — throughout the evaluation process
• Stay current on neuroaffirming assessment practices and help shape how Sayit evaluates going forward ## What You Bring
• Active Connecticut SLP license (or eligibility) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations across communication disorders and differences
• A neuroaffirming lens — you don't pathologize difference, you clarify need
• Comfort working with multilingual and bicultural families
• Sharp, honest clinical writing
• A low tolerance for rigid, compliance-driven models of care
