4th Assistant Baseball Coach

Sussex County Community College is seeking an Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2027 Season. This role will serve as the Assistant Coach for the Men's Baseball Program at SCCC and will play a key role in supporting the head coach in preparing and training the team for a successful season. The Fouth Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for supporting the Head Baseball Coach in preparing, developing, and training the team for a successful and competitive season.

The position will assist with all aspects of the baseball program, including practices, games, recruiting, player development and other duties to support the overall success of the baseball program. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities: Strong knowledge and understanding of the game of baseball. Excellent communication and motivational skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching staff and within a team-oriented environment. Commitment to the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes. Ability to assist with teaching and developing fundamental baseball skills. Assist with organizing and conducting practices, drills and workouts.

Assist with game-day preparation and coaching responsibilties. Asssit the coaching staff with recruiting prospective student athletes. Help promote a positive team environment based on discipline, accountability, teamwork and sportsmanship. Assist with equipment, field preparation, travel, and other team related responsibilities as assigned.

Support student athletes in meeting college, athletic and NJCAA expectations. Represent Sussex County Community College and the baseball program in a professional manner at all times. Perform other duties related to the baseball program as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the field.

$3,500 for the Season.

Qualifications

Previous playing/coaching of baseball preferred. Knowledge of rules associated with sports is required. A valid driver’s license is required.
