Staff Nurse/Med Surg

Position Title: RN Med/Surg

• Telemetry Shift:#Days Status: Full-time Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Position Summary

The Licensed Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.

Essential Functions

Implements the plan of care within the concepts of the Licensed Registered Nurse curriculum, with consideration for safety in practice, according to established prioritization of needs; documenting and communicating nursing interventions and responses of patient(s) to care. Evaluates patient(s) responses to nursing care rendered; documents and communicates evaluation data to appropriate health care team members; contributes to the modification of the nursing plan of care based on ongoing evaluation.

Assesses patient(s) by direct observation and data collection. Records and reports objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner. Reports the patient(s) condition and or change in condition as well as signs and symptoms that deviate from normal health status. Develops individualized patient care plan.

Collaborates with team members by sharing relevant information; demonstrating initiative and supporting team decisions and work life of the department. RN may delegate nursing activities to other professional nurses or licensed practical nurses Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; Associates in Nursing; Bachelors preferred; Current IL State RN licensure and CPR Certification Team and customer service skills Must have a minimum of two years of experience is highly desired Computer skills - windows and database systems Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills ACLS, NRP, PALS, EKG monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, airway and ventilator management as required per department.

Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
