Coat Check Attendant at Saint Johns Resort

Saint John's Resort is seeking friendly, professional, and guest-focused Coat Check Attendants to join our team! This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience by providing efficient, organized, and courteous coat check services during weddings, special events , and other resort functions.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Warmly greet guests and provide friendly, professional coat check services upon arrival and departure. Receive, tag, organize, securely store, and retrieve guests' coats and personal belongings with care and accuracy. Maintain an organized, clean, and presentable coat check area throughout each shift.

Ensure guests' belongings are handled responsibly and returned promptly to the correct guest. Assist with managing guest traffic and maintaining efficient service during high-volume arrival and departure periods. Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism and a hospitality-focused attitude. Communicate effectively with Banquet and Event leadership to ensure smooth event operations.

Follow all resort policies, safety procedures, and service standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall guest experience.

Qualifications

& Requirements Previous hospitality, guest service, or coat check experience preferred but not required . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive, welcoming attitude. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain professional, efficient, and courteous during busy event periods.

Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional guest service. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely handle guests' coats and personal belongings. Ability to work independently while supporting the broader Banquet and Event team. Schedule & Availability Availability to work evening shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is required for this position.

Must have consistent availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings to support weddings and special events . Must be able to work flexible evening hours, including late nights based on event schedules and business needs. Additional availability on weekdays and holidays is preferred.
