  • CA Consumer Protection Act Notice to Employees and Applicants – Custom House . Westerly in Shell Beach is a full-service coastal restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are looking for a reliable and motivated full-time PM Line Cook who takes pride in their work and can consistently prepare and execute menu items according to company standards. The PM Line Cook is responsible for supporting evening kitchen operations by preparing food accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. We provide full coverage for required Food Handler certification. Training time and certification costs are covered in accordance with company policy and California requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and company standards Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service Execute orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining food quality and presentation Follow proper portioning, cooking, plating, and temperature standards Monitor food quality, freshness, and product levels throughout the shift Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Communicate with kitchen leadership and other cooks regarding ticket flow, shortages, and operational needs Assist with prep work, receiving, storage, and kitchen organization as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Support other kitchen stations and team members as operational needs require The PM Line Cook is responsible for supporting evening kitchen operations by preparing food accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service.

Requirements

Must have open availability for PM shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience preferred Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume kitchen preferred Knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, portioning, plating, and proper food-storage practices Ability to follow recipes, station procedures, and instructions accurately and consistently Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tickets and tasks, and maintain an efficient workstation Open availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handler Certification
