Merchant Team Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Merchant Team Analyst to support demand planning, inventory analysis, product data management, and reporting to support informed merchandising decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Support demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory analysis. Analyze sales, inventory, margins, pricing, promotions, and item performance. Identify out-of-stocks, excess inventory, slow-moving items, and other opportunities. Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis for the Merchant Team.

Manage new item setup and maintain accurate item master data, including UPCs, costs, pricing, pack sizes, suppliers, and product information. Process item, vendor, cost, and assortment changes. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with Merchandising, Operations, Finance, IT, suppliers, and stores. Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, reporting, and process efficiency.

Qualifications

& Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Merchandising, or related field preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience in retail, merchandising, inventory, demand planning, supply chain, or data analysis preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills. Experience with ERP, inventory, replenishment, or demand-planning systems preferred.

Power BI, SQL, or similar reporting experience is an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage large datasets and competing priorities. Curious, proactive, and solution oriented. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
