Based in Wingfield in a modern premises. We have approximately 100 employees on site. We sell new and used trucks and buses and provide service and parts to our customers. South Central Truck & Bus, part of the CMV Group, is seeking an enthusiastic Costing Clerk to support our Service Department by preparing accurate costings, calculating parts and service charges, compiling billing information and preparing customer invoices in a prompt and efficient manner.

About the Role

As a Costing Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting accurate, timely and efficient invoicing across the Service Department.

Your responsibilities

Compiling cost reports for the Service Department, including calculating individual costs and estimating future costs Reviewing and reporting on daily work-in-progress to support business plan targets Pre-costing all repair orders, giving priority to wait and early jobs Preparing accurate customer invoices in a timely manner, with clear explanations of completed work Detailing recommendations for further repair works and/or wear reports, when required Ensure the accuracy of customer, vehicle and billing details is maintained at all times Preparing daily reports on departmental costs and margins Ensure files are appropriately and accurately maintained in accordance with company procedures Reviewing processes and recommending improvements to support ongoing invoicing efficiency across the business What We’re Looking For Demonstrated industry business experience preferred Previous costing & / or service department experience preferred Confident computer skills in Microsoft Office Dealer Management Systems exposure Strong communication skills - written and verbal Sound computer literacy Strong numerical skills Excellent attention to detail Strong time management and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines A positive, team-focused approach and commitment to delivering quality service You’ll be a great fit if you are organised, accurate, confident working to deadlines and enjoy supporting a busy service team.
