Position Title: Operating Room Core Technician Location: Upland Hills Health
- Dodgeville Hospital Campus Role & Department: Operating Room Core Technician in the Surgical Services Department Hours & Shift: Full-time (1.0 FTE) Day Shift Position (8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Role Responsibilities: Assists with operating room turnover between cases, including cleaning, restocking, and preparation of rooms in accordance with hospital policy and infection prevention standards Supports anesthesia turnover by assisting with equipment readiness and supply replenishment as directed Assists with case picking and preparation, ensuring appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment are available for scheduled procedures Assists with sterile processing activities, including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, and transport of surgical instruments per departmental guidelines Transports instruments, equipment, and supplies between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department Stocks, organizes, and maintains surgical and anesthesia supplies; monitors inventory levels and communicates supply needs Maintains cleanliness and organization of OR core areas and storage spaces Adheres to infection control, safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards at all times Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support surgical workflow Performs other duties as assigned to support Surgical Services operations Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position. Previous experience in an Operating Room, Sterile Processing, or healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing workflows preferred. Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or equivalent), or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe. Experience working in a critical access hospital or rural healthcare environment preferred. Employee Benefits:
