Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting our growing portfolio of construction and development projects. Working closely with the Finance Manager, finance team and project teams, this role takes ownership of accounts payable and payroll administration, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately, payroll runs smoothly, and strong financial controls are maintained.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. What You’ll Do Take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable across a portfolio of construction and development projects.

Process weekly payroll for 100+ employees across multiple entities. Manage supplier, subcontractor and consultant invoices, payment runs, reconciliations and account queries. Partner closely with Project Managers and Contract Administrators to keep project financial processes moving efficiently. Maintain accurate payroll administration across wages, superannuation, PAYG, leave and employee entitlements.

Support strong financial governance and compliance across accounts payable, payroll and construction-specific requirements.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience in an AP & Payroll role. ideally within construction, property development or another project-based environment. A strong understanding of invoice processing, subcontractor payments, payroll compliance, GST and statutory payroll obligations is important, with experience using Jobpac highly regarded.

Highly organised and detail-focused, this person will be confident managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
