Rehabilitation Counselor (Multiple Locations)

• Rockville, MD, Salary Range: $19.24 - $21.64Hourly, Job Purpose: As a Rehabilitation Counselor at Cornerstone, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve personal, social, and vocational goals. You will provide guidance and counseling to help clients overcome barriers and enhance their quality of life across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' abilities, interests, and goals to develop personalized rehabilitation plans. Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, social, and vocational challenges faced by clients. Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and employers to coordinate comprehensive care and support for clients.

Develop and implement strategies to improve clients' job readiness and employment opportunities. Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting rehabilitation plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes. Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and workplace settings. Stay informed about the latest rehabilitation techniques and resources to enhance service delivery.

Facilitate workshops and seminars to educate clients and their families about available resources and support systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required, BA in Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology preferred (unless required by State Contract) Driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle for work purposes Knowledge of basic computer functions (Google Suite, Microsoft Office) and ability to learn software systems and/or websites (Paycom, EHR, Relias, etc) Our company offers a dynamic and collegial work environment, ongoing opportunities for professional growth, and generous benefits, including 3 weeks paid vacation, up to 500 hours of sick leave, 9 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays (bonus days).

Eligible for health care (single and family) the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week to be eligible for benefits and leave accruals. 403(b) retirement plan with employer match available. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position.
