Executive Partner to the CEO
Job description
About the Role
If you enjoy working with leaders, figuring things out, and turning “we should do something about this” into “it’s handled,” you’ll probably like this role. As Executive Partner , you’ll work closely with Oliver, our CEO, and the Chief of Staff across executive support, research, projects, communication, and follow-through.
This is not a traditional EA role. Yes, calendars, inboxes, meetings, and follow-ups are part of the job. But they’re not the whole job. You’ll also take half-formed ideas and turn them into something actionable. Pick up projects before they lose momentum. Research unfamiliar topics. Connect dots across conversations.
Spot what needs attention. And take action without needing every step spelled out. Telos Media is c reative and fast-moving. Priorities change, new ideas appear, and not everything comes with a perfect brief. You should be comfortable with that. We also care deeply about what we put into the world. Curiosity, education, and helping people think more critically aren’t just themes in our content; they shape the kind of work we build.
You should care about that too. What you’ll be obsessed about Making the people you support more effective. You notice what’s taking up unnecessary time, what needs more context, what could be handled without another meeting, and what might become a problem if nobody picks it up. You’re always thinking: “What can I take care of, make clearer, or make easier?
And then you do. What you’ll do Coordinate projects across teams, keeping timelines, owners, dependencies, and deliverables clear and moving. Work closely with the Chief of Staff to keep CEO-led priorities moving across the team. Research people, companies, creators, industries, partnerships, technologies, new ideas, and turn that research into useful recommendations, options, and next steps.
Prepare useful context ahead of important meetings, conversations, and decisions. Turn broad or ambiguous requests into clear next steps and actually do them. Manage key parts of the CEO’s calendar, inbox, travel, meetings, and follow-ups. Draft and manage communication on behalf of the CEO when appropriate. Support external relationships, personal brand initiatives, and occasional personal or administrative tasks where needed.
About you
Experience working closely with a founder, CEO, or senior executive. Very organized with good judgment and strong follow-through. Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities. Strong project coordination skills, including managing timelines, owners, dependencies, and follow-ups. Good judgment about what you can own yourself and what genuinely needs escalation.
Strong research and communication skills. Naturally curious about creators, media, business, technology, and emerging ideas. Able to move between strategic thinking and detailed execution. Discreet, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Experience in media, creators, entertainment, startups, or another creative business is a plus.
This probably isn’t for you if You need every task fully scoped, prefer fixed processes, or get frustrated when priorities change and things are unclear.
