• Quincy, MA, Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00Hourly, Join our gymnastics community and make an impact both on and off the mat! The South Shore YMCA is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Team Gymnastics Coach to help athletes build their skills, confidence, discipline, and love for the sport. The Team Gymnastics Coach leads safe and engaging practices, provides positive and constructive instruction, and creates an environment where every gymnast feels challenged, supported, and proud of their progress.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coach competitive gymnasts across USA Gymnastics Xcel levels.
• Teach proper technique, skill progression, conditioning, and safe spotting practices.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Attend all team practices, currently held four evenings per week, and occasional weekend meets.
• Coach pre-team and recreational classes as needed.
• Follow all YMCA and gymnastics studio policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Previous team gymnastics coaching experience required.
• Knowledge of USA Gymnastics guidelines for Xcel levels.
• SafeSport certification required.
• Strong teaching, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Positive, dependable, and committed to helping athletes succeed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to remain active throughout practices and competitions.
• Ability to safely spot and assist gymnasts.
• Ability to lift and move gymnastics equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
