Human Resources Intern - Part Time
Job description
Job Position Summary : You will provide HR administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the human resources department, ensuring the efficient delivery of the recruitment process, assisting with training scheduling and maintaining accuracy of employee data records. You must: Be currently going to school for Human Resources or Business-related degree.
Have the ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. Have the ability to adapt to business needs. Strong attention to details Have the ability to work well with other employees. Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Have strong computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Have excellent organizational skills Be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service In your role you will: Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranging meetings and food, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copies, tracking deadlines.
Assist in the hiring process, including job postings, scheduling interviewing, reviewing resumes, and communicating with agencies. Maintains employee files, and all necessary HR documentation related to recruiting, medical documentation, hiring, onboarding, and training. Assist in onboarding of new hire including background checks, drug testing, communication and scheduling.
Assisting HR Manager on HR initiatives, AAP, roll outs, audits, and process improvement projects. Assist in annual benefit enrollment process. Support employee engagement by coordinating employee events, celebrations, and recognition programs. Maintains a clean organized work area. Working Conditions : Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities. Physical Requirements: Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. May have to lift up to thirty (20) pounds at a time, as required. Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
