City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Medical Group- Family Medicine First Colonial Clinic is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This position offers up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates. Schedule: Monday through Friday | Day Shift Overview The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required
• Previous Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) experience in family medicine, primary care, physician practice or ambulatory care setting is strongly preferred Education
• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required Certification/Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization Sentara Medical Group Sentara Medical Group consists of over 300 practices throughout Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
