Position Overview

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing general facility maintenance, repair work, and property improvements across multiple automotive dealership locations. This role supports dealership operations by maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and employees. The specialist performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including light electrical repairs, painting, tile installation and repair, general handyman services, and other building maintenance duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across multiple dealership facilities. Complete light electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, bulbs, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues. Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including touch-up work, wall repairs, and preparation of surfaces for painting.

Install, repair, and replace floor and wall tile in service departments, showrooms, offices, and customer areas. Conduct general handyman repairs, including drywall patching, door and hardware repairs, plumbing fixture replacement, and minor carpentry work. Inspect facilities regularly and identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and repair opportunities.

Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests from dealership leadership and department managers. Maintain grounds, parking lots, and facility appearance to company standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and local building regulations. Track materials, supplies, and inventory required for maintenance projects.

Travel between assigned dealership locations to complete scheduled and emergency maintenance work.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade. Working knowledge of light electrical systems, painting techniques, and tile installation/repair. Ability to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Automotive dealership or multi-site facility maintenance experience preferred.
