Packaging Coordinator

Reports To: Production Supervisor FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt FT Direct Reports: No Job Summary: The Packaging Coordinator works under the direction of the Packaging Lead & Manager to help assist in the day-to-day running of the Packaging Department to include directing the work of other Packaging Associates.

The Packaging Coordinator may also assist the Packaging Manager with special projects and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of Packaging Assemblers to ensure accurate and timely assembly of packaging goods QA checks to ensure accuracy of builds according to company QA requirements Notifying the Warehouse Manager of damaged goods and appropriately transferring in system and physically tagging/segregating materials Assist in training new employees Assist in ensuring employee safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.

Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed and reports any issues to management Troubleshooting issues on the production floor Reports on any process and equipment problems Job Standards High acuity for attention to Detail Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with other team members, supervisors & customers Must be timely and work efficiently throughout the day Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize packaging procedures Good organizational & time management skills Must be comfortable in an active production environment Qualifications: Required: 3+ years previous production experience Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn company software Preferred: Previous leadership experience preferred Job Setting / Environment: T his position is performed in an environmentally controlled building.
