Permitting Specialist

Description Green Ridge Solar is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Permitting Specialist to join our growing team. As a key point of for our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of solar projects through our permitting pipeline. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction permitting, preferably within the solar industry.

Qualifications

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing outstanding customer service. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing software.

Solid understanding of construction permitting processes and regulations. Experience with solar permitting is a plus. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different AHJ requirements. Requirements

The Permitting Specialist is responsible for managing the critical initial stages of our solar installation projects. Your primary duties will include: Setting up jobs within our operational pipeline. Serving as the primary point of contact for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Obtaining all necessary permits from AHJ & Utilities Securing net-metering agreements.

Reserving available incentives for qualifying systems. Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of individual AHJ permitting requirements. Coordinating final inspections upon project completion. Distributing project closeout and approval notices to all relevant parties.
