• UBMD Neurology Full-Time | Onsite Location: Williamsville, NY Practice: University Neurology Pay range: $19-$22 per hour Position Summary The Medical Assistant will organize the medical facilities function to ensure our office’s smooth operations. Will perform various tasks on a daily basis to ensure high quality customer service for our patients. Expected to handle sensitive information confidentially Key Responsibilities Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other medical information Prepare treatment rooms for exams Prepare patient for examinations, including taking vital signs Assisting physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Preparing medications as directed by a physician/provider Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families Managing inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies Coordinating the administrative duties, including patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check in patients, update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Perform other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not necessary 1–2 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant or as a Medical Assistant preferred Proficiency with EHR systems and medical documentation Strong understanding of medical terminology Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent communication and patient service skills Benefits 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time UBMD is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
