Para Educator (Para I or Para II) Preschool

Are you energetic, patient, and passionate about helping young minds grow? We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Paraeducator to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment for children aged 3 to 5. From morning circle time to afternoon dismissal, you will play a vital role in helping our littlest learners develop social, emotional, and academic skills through play and structured activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, managing classroom transitions, and setting up activities (arts and crafts, sensory play, story time). Individualized Attention: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need extra support reaching their developmental milestones. Safety & Supervision: Maintain a watchful eye on children during classroom time, recess, lunchtime, and bathroom breaks to ensure a safe environment.

Positive Behavioral Support: Help guide children in developing social skills, sharing, and emotional regulation using positive reinforcement. Daily Operations : Assist with light classroom cleanup, organizing materials, and preparing the room for the next day's adventures.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience working with young children (ages 3-5) in a daycare, preschool, or school setting is highly preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a major plus). Key Traits: Infinite patience, a high level of energy, and a genuine love for early childhood development. Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with the classroom teacher and staff.

Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and lift up to 40 lbs to interact with children at their eye level.
