Senior Officer, Biomedical Technology Support Centre

The Position Provide instrumentation and application support in Biomedical Technology Support centre (BSC) and manage its daily operation Conduct training and perform maintenance of laboratory instruments to facilitate our tenants' and startups' projects Prepare technical writing including standard operating procedures, protocols, technical notes, guidelines and flow charts Assist with the procurement activities and liaise with suppliers on equipment and service requirements Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and develop effective solutions Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders including but not limited to academia, researchers, incubatees and business clients Plan, coordinate and organize projects from planning to promote biotech ecosystem in HKSTP e.

g. preparation and development of marketing collaterals including brochures, presentation, website, banner, poster, etc. Perform any other duties as assigned The Candidate Degree or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or other related life science disciplines 3 years of relevant experience in biochemical core facilities or life science laboratory Experience in high precision instrument operations like Next Generation Sequencing, Flow Cytometry or Confocal Imaging would be preferred Keep abreast of the latest development in instrumentation and analytical methods Familiarity with laboratory safety practices, occupational hazards, and relevant regulatory requirements Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a customer-focused service mindset Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently Good analytical, organizational, and presentation skills Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese Candidate with less experience will be considered for lower position.
