Job description

Company Snapshot West Coast Magnetics is a leading innovator in the field of high-frequency power magnetics and filtering. We specialize in leading-edge technology and solutions that drive the future of the semiconductor and medical device industries.

About the Role This is a manufacturing operations leadership role, not a warehouse, logistics, or distribution position. As Operations Manager at our Stockton manufacturing facility, you run production from start to finish: from customer order through material planning, work order execution, and on-time delivery of the products we build. You lead teams across several departments and own the Sage ERP system we use to manage demand, materials, production, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Stockroom, and Document Control to deliver manufactured products on schedule
  • Own production planning and control in Sage: order entry, MRP, work orders, bills of materials, and inventory movements
  • Drive performance on on-time delivery, production schedule attainment, documentation accuracy, and inventory accuracy
  • Partner with Production to resolve material, capacity, and process constraints that affect build schedules
  • Maintain disciplined processes in a regulated manufacturing environment aligned to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in operations, production control, materials management, or manufacturing supply chain within a manufacturing environment (electronics, electromechanical, or medical device manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with MRP, work orders, and bills of materials in a build-to-order or make-to-order setting
  • 3+ years leading managers and supervisors in a manufacturing operation
  • ERP systems expertise; Sage preferred
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systems
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Please note: candidates whose experience is mainly in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations will not be considered for this role.

Apply if you have led manufacturing operations, can take ownership, tighten execution, and deliver predictable results.

How Your Day Runs You start by reviewing new customer POs and production priorities, then confirm clean order entry in Sage before releasing sales orders and work orders to the floor. Midday is spent validating MRP signals, clearing material shortages with Purchasing, and making sure kits are staged so production can build without interruption. You walk the floor with Production to check build status and capacity, verify that build documentation is ready with Document Control, and resolve any exceptions that could put ship dates at risk. Late afternoon, you review completed builds, shipments, and invoicing, reconcile key inventory and work order transactions, and close out open items. That way the next day starts with a controlled backlog and clear commitments.

What You Get

  • Competitive salary ($135,000-$165,000)
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k)
