Job responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the faculty member in Psychology is to teach undergraduate classes. Candidates will typically teach classes in General Psychology, History and Systems of Psychology, Research Methods, Physiological Psychology, Counseling Theory and other courses as assigned. A typical teaching load consists of 4 three-hour classes/semester.
Job duties also include academic advising of students, active participation in college committees, working as a team member in the academic department or division the major resides in, working collaboratively with other faculty and the college administration, active involvement in recruiting activities for new students, and participation in and contribution to the general college community.
Qualifications
Doctorate in the discipline preferred.
Compensation
commensurate with credential and experience. Supervision of this position is provided by the college dean and the provost/executive vice-president for academic affairs.
