Copper Technician

We are hiring a Copper Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of copper-based communication and electrical systems. The role involves working on structured cabling, wiring, and connectivity for various industrial and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test copper cables (Cat5, Cat6, telephone lines, etc.) for data and voice communication systems. Perform fault detection and troubleshooting on copper cable networks. Conduct continuity, signal loss, and quality tests using appropriate testing tools. Repair or replace damaged copper cabling and connections.

Follow project drawings, cable routing plans, and technical instructions. Ensure all cabling work complies with safety codes and industry standards. Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors for timely execution of tasks. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and documentation of completed work.

Requirements

Diploma / Certificate in Electrical / Telecom / Technical Training. 10-20 years of hands-on experience in copper cabling and installations. Proficiency in cable termination, splicing, and testing using tools like Fluke Tester or similar. Basic understanding of telecom or low-voltage systems. Ability to work independently and at heights or confined spaces if required.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
