SUMMARY The Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office (OPSO), New Orleans, Louisiana, provides the care, custody, control and rehabilitation of inmates. We are committed to providing the highest level of service and security to the court systems, the execution of court mandates, and the protection of individuals’ rights and freedoms.

Our Mission will be achieved through innovative leadership and programs, as well as the dedication and diligence of our employees. The Attorney advises and represents the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office (OPSO) in relation to their legal rights in civil and criminal cases. Their duties include meeting with the Chief Legal Officer to discuss the various aspects of OPSO cases, performing research to gather pertinent information for each case and attending all pretrial hearings.

Work to resolve disputes for OPSO and represent OPSO at hearings in a court of law.
