Quality Engineer
Job description
Standard Job Description You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Assurance Team. Our team is responsible for driving product and process quality across design, production, and supplier domains. What You Will Be Doing As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for applying quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation to ensure robust, reliable products.
Your responsibilities
Conduct technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, designs, and procedures. Lead failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions. Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, including statistical analysis.
Maintain supplier certification programs and support supplier selection. Basic Qualifications
STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/education Must be able obtain a Secret level security clearance Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to travel 25% Desired Skills Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt) ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Demonstrated team leadership skills Customer Relationship Management skills Experience working with Government customers Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
