Direct Support Professional - Day Support Program

Description The Helton House has immediate openings for full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Day Support Programs. The Direct Support Professional provides direct training and support (assistance) to individuals who reside or participate in Helton House programs. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily tasks, personal care, and social activities.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment Implement individualized support plans based on the unique needs and goals of each individual Encourage and participate in community integration activities, promoting social inclusion and skills development Administer medication and monitor health and well-being of individuals Document and maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress, and any incidents that occur Starting salary range: $15.

50 to $17.45. Actual starting pay will be based on relevant experience, education and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good computer and data entry skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift and transfer individuals, as needed Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
