Vation is seeking a senior-level Azure Engineer with an active Secret clearance. This a newly-awarded contract, so the selected candidate must be a self-starter who is eager to quickly integrate with a high-performing team responsible for accrediting and implementing a new digital evidence platform for our Federal Government client.

This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely with occasional travel to Washington DC as needed. What you will be doing Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure leveraging IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Architect and implement automated deployment pipelines integrating IaC frameworks with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)

Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards across Azure environments. Lead high‑complexity cloud infrastructure projects, driving best practices in automation, monitoring, resilience, and cost optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate technical requirements and design solutions aligned with enterprise architecture. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Azure infrastructure issues involving networking, identity, compute, storage, and Kubernetes (AKS). Mentor junior and mid-level cloud engineers; provide technical leadership and thought guidance on IaC and cloud modernization.

Maintain documentation for deployments, architectures, patterns, and operational processes. Stay current on Azure platform advancements and advocate for tools or practices that enhance reliability, performance, or engineering efficiency.
