  • BRIAN HEAD, UT, Position Type: Seasonal, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00Hourly, Job Shift: Graveyard, Terrain Park Groomer – Winter 2026/2027 Location: Brian Head Resort | Department: Terrain Park Type: Seasonal | Start Date: November 2026 | End Date: May 2027 The Terrain Park Groomer will operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night to prepare terrain parks and provide an enjoyable and safe mountain environment for Brian Head Resort guests. Duties & Responsibilities: Grooming and Terrain Operations Operate heavy trail grooming equipment at night with minimal supervision. Adjust grooming implements and techniques to suit snow, weather conditions, and terrain. Design, build, and maintain high-quality trails and terrain parks in collaboration with the Terrain Park Manager. Use hand tools as needed to build and maintain park features. Equipment Care Operate machinery safely and professionally to prevent damage to equipment. Coordinate with the Vehicle Maintenance team on routine maintenance and repairs. Safety and Environmental Stewardship Follow all safety procedures and use required safety equipment at all times. Report existing or potential safety hazards to a supervisor promptly. Protect Resort property, forest land, wildlife habitat, and natural resources during all operations. Communication Report to the Terrain Park Manager and provide regular, relevant updates to them and the Mountain Operations team. Other Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience Minimum 1-3 years of trail and/or terrain park grooming experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Solid knowledge of heavy equipment operations. Basic knowledge of Brian Head Resort terrain and mountain geography. Must have strong spatial awareness. Must be alert, precise, and patient. Must be adept at problem-solving and exercising good judgment.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift or move heavy objects (50+ lbs.) using appropriate techniques. Must be able to work in varying and extreme winter weather conditions. Must be able to work at high altitudes (9,600 ft – 11,300 ft above sea level). Position Type and Expected Work Hours: Winter seasonal position.

Overnight shift. Standard schedule includes a mix of weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Availability during peak seasons, special events, and park build days is expected.
