Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Mechanical Engineerwith strong experience in mechanical engineering and design, particularly within themidstream energy,industrial, ormining sectors. The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of experience and a proven ability to contribute effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in the development of conceptual layouts, engineering drawings, and P&IDs.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, including pressure vessels, pumps, valves, piping systems, and mechanical equipment packages.
• Assist in the creation of mechanical component lists and support materials selection.
• Prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) packages and review vendor documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, designers, and clients to develop practical and efficient design solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Support field personnel with troubleshooting and technical expertise.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 6–8 years of relevant engineering design experience in EPCM environments.
• Licensure:Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer withEGBCorAPEGA.
• Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with codes and standards such asASME B31.3,CSA Z662is required; knowledge ofMaterials Engineering is an asset.
• Experience with turbine compression systems is considered an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Demonstrated success in a mechanical design engineering role, preferably in energy infrastructure or industrial projects.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with internal teams and clients.

• Experience working on small to large-scale projectsand withinphase-gated project delivery

• Understanding of Supply Chain Management and procurement processes is an asset.

• Proficiency with tools such as:

• Microsoft Project or Primavera P6

• SharePoint

• Bluebeam
