Billing Specialist - Hybrid

Description ABA Pathways, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Prior medical billing experience is required, and experience with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) billing is preferred.

This is a full-time hybrid position that requires a combination of in-office and remote work. The Insurance Billing Specialist will report directly to the Director of Finance and the CEO. Job Duties Using coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies including Medicaid Working directly with the insurance companies, provider, and patients to get claims processed and paid Able to communicate clearly among employees, clients, and insurance companies Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims Verifying patients’ insurance coverage, acting as liaison between insurance companies and clients Handling collections of unpaid accounts Generating Accounts Receivable reports ABA Billing experience preferred Requirements Organized Meticulous attention to detail Efficient Self-motivated and independent Good communication and customer service skills Critical thinker, able to problem solve Knowledge of accounting billing systems and general search engine skill is a must Position is computer intensive and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required Experience with medical insurance billing Work Environment This is a hybrid position requiring work both in the office and remotely.

Candidates must be comfortable working independently while collaborating with the finance team and other staff as needed.
