Senior Professional Land Surveyor (Regulatory & Economic Resources)

Must possess a State of Florida Professional Land Surveyor & Mapper license. A minimum of four years of experience in land surveying is required. Must possess a Driver license.

The Senior Professional Land Surveyor coordinates and performs the technical and legal review of final plats, tentative plats, waivers, and other land development documents submitted within Miami-Dade County, including municipalities. This position reviews plats for compliance with Chapter 28 of the Miami-Dade County Code, Chapter 177 of the Florida Statutes, and applicable professional surveying standards; coordinates the processing of final plats for approval by the Board of County Commissioners and municipal governing bodies; and ensures all requirements are satisfied prior to recordation in the public records.

Additional responsibilities entail providing technical guidance to staff, developers, engineers, land surveyors, attorneys, municipalities, and other stakeholders; assisting with complex platting and surveying matters; and supporting the supervision and coordination of staff involved in plat review and processing.
