Accounting Clerk

Accounting Clerk Accounts Payable | Accounts Receivable | Collections Trask Performance is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our daily accounting operations. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in accurate work, stays organized, follows through on outstanding items, and communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

This is a hands-on accounting support position focused primarily on accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and maintaining accurate and organized accounting records.

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices and verify required supporting documentation. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and reconcile vendor statements. Prepare customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. Apply and verify customer payments. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances.

Assist with routine collections and document customer follow-up. Research routine invoice, payment, and account discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues for review. Assist with basic account reconciliations and routine accounting tasks. Maintain organized electronic accounting records and supporting documentation.

Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members to obtain missing information and resolve routine questions. Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls. Protect confidential company, customer, and financial information.

Qualifications

Previous accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience preferred. Collections experience is a plus. Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email, and standard office software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately follow established procedures.

Professional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable following up with customers regarding outstanding balances. Able to manage routine responsibilities independently, meet deadlines, and follow through on open items. Willingness to identify and escalate discrepancies rather than making unsupported accounting adjustments.

Position Location: Phoenix, Arizona Schedule: Full-time Compensation: $22-$28 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Trask Performance is a manufacturer and retailer of high-performance aftermarket products for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This position works with our accounting and operations teams to help keep daily accounting activity accurate, organized, and current.
