JOB SUMMARY

Ensures the continuous, effective operation and the continuous improvement of the activities of Surgical Nursing Services. Assures integration of departmental services with the hospital#s overall functioning to meet established organizational goals. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Master#s Degree in Nursing, unless waived by VP of Nursing Minimum Work Experience 5 years Required Licenses/Certifications Registered Nurse Certification as Nurse Executive Advanced within 2 years of hire as director Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Deals effectively with community/consumers Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care Demonstrated interpersonal skills Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills Maintains professional appearance and decorum at all times Requires ability to handle confidential information Designated Driver Yes OSHA Category 3
