Job description

Posting Title: Urologist Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹300,000 to ₹400,000 LPM Work Experience: 4–5+ years --- ### Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic imaging interpretation.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of urological disorders, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate and bladder cancers, erectile dysfunction, and congenital anomalies.
  • Conduct advanced surgical procedures such as cystectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, vasectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation, orchiectomy, and penile prosthesis implantation.
  • Provide expert care in stone treatment, including ureteroscopy, shock wave lithotripsy, and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide safety protocols.
  • Mentor and train junior medical staff, residents, and medical students in urological care and surgical techniques.
  • Stay current with advancements in urology through continuous medical education, research, and professional conferences.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for complex cases, including oncology, nephrology, and radiology teams. --- ### Requirements
  • MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Urology (MD/MS in Urology) from a recognized medical institution.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on clinical and surgical experience in a hospital or tertiary care setting.
  • Proven expertise in performing cystectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP, vasectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation, orchiectomy, kidney stone surgery, and penile prosthesis implantation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic and laparoscopic urological surgery, including ureteroscopy and PCNL.
  • Strong understanding of stone disease management, including medical expulsive therapy, shock wave lithotripsy, and stent placement.
  • Excellent diagnostic, decision-making, and patient communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant state medical council.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
