Dishwasher Job Description Department: Restaurant Reports To: Back House Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Position Goals This job description for the Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club provides criteria for the evaluation of the Dishwasher position. The Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods.

The Dishwasher will ensure the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility and compliance regulations are met. Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of the Back House Manager, the Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Loading, running, and unloading the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and other items, in a fast and efficient manner
  2. Ensuring all dishes are clean and sanitized before they are put away on dish racks or used by your fellow team members
  3. Maintaining the dishwasher area to ensure it’s clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance
  4. Mopping and sanitizing the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation
  5. Sanitizing work areas at least once an hour throughout your shift to prevent cross-contamination
  6. Setting up the dish room and dishwashing machine before your shift and properly break both down after every shift
  7. Sorting and stacking clean dishes and carrying clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage areas
  8. Removing trash and garbage to dumpster
  9. Filling and emptying soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
  10. Reporting any issues/problems to your manager immediately; follow chain of command
  11. Ensuring that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times
  12. Arriving to work with a smile, in your full work uniform, a positive attitude and a willingness to give us your all
  13. Adhering and complying with the most current rules regarding food safety, hygiene, federal, state, and local regulations and department processes and procedures
  14. Ensuring a good relationship between the other departments to ensure effective communication
  15. Showing leadership and direction with co-workers and other staff members
  16. Communicating appropriately with members, guests, and co-workers
  17. Adhering to and ensuring compliance with Crossing Creeks Country Club policies, procedures, and customer service standards
  18. Participating in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment
  19. Other duties as assigned On Duty Behavior
  20. Staff members may not recreate (play sports, swim, golf, racquet sports, etc.) while on duty
  21. Alcohol consumption is not permitted while on duty
  22. Smoking/vaping is not permitted while on duty; smoking/vaping is only allowed in designated area whilst “clocked out” on approved break
  23. Members and guests are not to see or interpret staff as being overly attentive to their phones and/or personal electronic devices
  24. No loitering; non-members and non-registered guest are not permitted to be loitering with staff General Responsibilities & Expectations
  25. Completing daily responsibilities upon arrival and prior to departure of shift (cleaning, stocking, organizing, etc.)
  26. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to any policies and procedures
  27. Promoting a positive work environment by communicating appropriately and effectively with members, guests, and co-workers
  28. Being a valuable teammate at all times, especially when asked to help with other tasks and/or other duties
  29. Maintaining a professional appearance including wearing designated Crossing Creeks shirt when on duty
  30. Good personal hygiene per company policies
  31. Adhering to the guiding principles and policies set forth by Crossing Creeks Country Club
  32. Maintaining professionalism in job performance and practice
  33. Communicating needs through the proper chain of command
  34. Displaying integrity and honesty
  35. Maintaining a positive attitude towards members, guests, and co-workers
  36. Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of Crossing Creeks Country Club Position Requirements The requirements for employment as Dishwasher with Crossing Creeks Country Club are:

  38. Customer service experience
  39. Critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources
  40. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, that offers highest level of compassion to all members, guests, and staff; ability to communicate in a non-aggressive manner under pressure
  41. Strong interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational skills, and time management skills
  42. Meeting performance expectations and holding oneself accountable for all actions

  50. Demonstrated competency of position responsibilities and requirements within 90 days, as evaluated by Supervisor
  51. Maintain TABC/food handling license requirements
  52. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language Education/Experience TABC / Food Handling license required Previous proven working experience as a Dishwasher Physical Demands Requires full range of body motion Standing and maneuvering independently and safely around work area Standing and walking for extensive periods of time Eye-hand coordination Pushing and pulling Climbing (ascending and descending) Bending / Stooping Using arm, leg, and back muscles for extended periods Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing greater than 50 pounds Requires corrected vision and hearing to within normal range Potential for cuts and bruises Work Environment Both environmental conditions; you will work both inside and out, including inclement weather Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions Atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation Extreme cold Extreme heat Loud and noisy May be required to work in narrow aisles or passageways Frequently required to talk and/or hear
