Colfax-Mingo High School is seeking an energetic, visionary, and relationship-driven Head Girls Soccer Coach to lead a program that has been extremely successful in its first two years.

Position Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school girls soccer program. Establish a clear vision for continued success through player development, competitive preparation, and a positive team culture.

Develop and implement effective practice plans, conditioning activities, and game strategies. Teach soccer fundamentals and tactical skills that help athletes grow and compete at a high level. Mentor assistant coaches and coordinate coaching responsibilities. Support the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes.

Promote effort, accountability, inclusion, leadership, and sportsmanship. Build strong relationships and maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, staff, and the community. Collaborate with the activities department and school administration on scheduling, equipment, supervision, and program organization.

Follow all applicable school, conference, and state athletic association rules and expectations.

Qualifications

Prior soccer coaching experience preferred; head coaching or program leadership experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development, and game strategy. Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate student-athletes and build a positive, competitive program.

Commitment to developing athletes of all experience levels and encouraging participation. Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or ability to obtain it before the season.
