Catering Bus Boy

POSITION: Banquet Busser/ Runner REPORTS TO: Banquet Maitre’D / Captain PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in setting up the room and tables to the specification of the Banquet Contract or the Restaurant Reservation Book. Bus and reset tables, serve bread & butter and pour iced water on guests arrival and replenish as needed.

Assist servers and host/hostess respond to guests needs and keep dining room and work areas clean. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Check station assignments and side duties. Check service area for ice, warm bread, cups, water pitchers and butters. Busses and cleans tables, chairs and seats, resets tables promptly after guests leave, carries bus tray to utility area, breaks down tray properly, then resets table.

Knows table numbers and dining room layout, responds quickly to guests requests or notifies servers responsible of any guest requests, questions or complaints. Understands and follows safety and sanitation practices and works with clean and sanitized equipment. Stocks and replenishes cups, glasses, sodas, mixers, silverware, etc.

and backs for the bartender. Performs duties that require standing, fast movement throughout the dining room, kitchen and service area. Position requires bending, reaching and lifting 50 pounds or more.
