This position designs, delivers, and continually improves onboarding and new-hire training so every team member is set up for success from day one. The role partners with leaders’ company-wide to build training, growth plans, and learning resources that support employee development, operational excellence, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Learning & Development Strategy Partner with leadership to design, implement, and keep improving a company-wide training and development strategy that supports MSC's business goals. Create and support development and growth plans that line up with each function and department objectives. Design programs that help people coach, give feedback, and develop their teams.
Work with HR to use employee feedback and survey results to shape development offerings that improve engagement and retention. Weave MSC's mission and core values into onboarding and ongoing development. Track and report training effectiveness (completion rates, new-hire ramp-up time, early turnover, performance results) and share insights with leadership.
Onboarding & New-Hire Training Build and run a standardized onboarding and orientation program for all new hires, covering company culture, policies, systems, and role-specific training. Train all new hires on the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for their role, working with department leaders so the content stays current.
Training Delivery & Learning Systems Administer the company learning management system (LMS), including content, user access, course assignments, reporting, and system updates. Oversee training across all MSC locations, and build and support a network of site-based training champions so delivery is consistent everywhere.
Assess training needs raised by managers and employees, then design targeted solutions that address performance gaps, industry changes, and regulatory requirements. Deliver training in whatever format fits best, including in-person sessions, live virtual classes, self-paced e-learning, and short on-demand refreshers. Use current learning technology, including AI-assisted content creation, to build engaging training efficiently and keep it up to date.
Compliance, Process & Systems Training Manage required annual and role-based compliance training (for example HIPAA, OSHA, and fraud, waste and abuse) and keep completion records audit-ready. Audit adherence to policies and procedures regularly, and use the results to find training gaps and improvement opportunities. Partner with internal teams and software vendors to roll out new systems and tools, creating training that speeds adoption and improves efficiency.
Deliver training on new or updated processes and systems, then follow up with adherence checks and quality reviews to reinforce the change. Other Duties as Assigned Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates with equivalent professional experience in training or talent development are encouraged to apply. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements: 3–5 years of experience in training, learning and development, or talent development, ideally in healthcare.
Home medical equipment experience is a plus. Working knowledge of healthcare operations and regulatory and compliance requirements. Revenue cycle knowledge is preferred. Excellent facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills, with the ability to engage learners at every level, one-on-one and in groups. Highly organized and collaborative, with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
Proven ability to manage several training projects and priorities at once across multiple locations. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365. Experience with LMS administration and e-learning authoring tools (for example Articulate or Canva) preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (such as ADDIE).
Certification such as ATD CPTD/APTD or SHRM-CP is a plus. Regular travel to MSC locations to deliver training and support staff development. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the company insurance provider's requirements.
